Chaves Knives Unleashes Stunning New Collaborative Integrals and "Dissident" Automatics
ATLANTA — The showroom floor at Blade Show 2026 is buzzing, and standing directly in the center of the excitement is legendary maker Ramon Chavez. Known for his overbuilt, skull-accented, hard-use tactical folders, Chavez used a live showcase to introduce a massive evolution for Chaves Knives: a foray into high-end collaborative integral designs alongside some of the community’s favorite custom makers.
“We’re starting to do some designs collaborating with my friends,” Chavez announced, showcasing a display filled with precision engineering, premium materials, and unique swappable features.
The Evolution of the Integral: Swappable Magnetic Inlays
The headliners of the Chaves Knives booth are a series of striking integral folders—knives where the entire handle frame is milled out of a single solid piece of titanium. Chaves has elevated this premium construction style by adding swappable magnetic inlays across the lineup, giving users unprecedented customization over the knife's aesthetic.
Chavez revealed that all the new collaborative integral models will be available in five different colorways and variations, including highly anticipated "Blue Label" versions.
Here is the star-studded collaborative lineup dropping at the show:
-
The Harrison (Designed by Sam Tran / @raventhepirate): A sleek tactical folder boasting an integral handle, magnetic inlays, and smooth deployment.
-
The Omega & The Disciple (Designed by Jake McCoy): McCoy brings two distinct flavors to the Chaves lineup. Both feature a rugged M3000 steel blade variant alongside the signature integral framework.
-
The Phase & The Arrester (Designed by Brad Blount / JBB Knives): Blount’s iconic design language pairs beautifully with Chaves' execution. The Arrester, in particular, caught eyes on the floor with its premium Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coated blade contrasting against a heavily stonewashed titanium integral handle.
Made in Utah: The "Dissident" Automatic
While the collaborative integrals took up plenty of real estate, Chavez made sure to highlight what’s brewing closer to home. The booth proudly featured the Dissident, Chaves Knives' hard-hitting, out-the-front automatic manufactured completely in Utah.
The Blade Show 2026 variants of the Dissident feature stunning textured inlays made from CamoCarbon, offering a lightweight, high-tech, and visually striking camo weave. Chavez showcased multiple configurations, including versions featuring vibrant anodized accents on the hardware and firing switches.
